OUR BACKGROUND

We are fine arts artists who develop work projects related to inter-textual and the production of text starting from the interpretation of visual proposals. In that sense we adhere to a creation process that implies, according to Roland Barthes, the disappearance of the author.
The relevant feature for us is the analysis of the language of visual text instead of the particular author of the script. For this purpose we use elements supplied by semiotics and the analysis of speech. We work exclusively on Canson paper, focusing on the use of the paper as a significant means -not only as support- offering a new way to incorporate this material to the aesthetic work.
The Canson papers offer us the ideal material to develop our projects since they have a great variety of colours, textures, grain sizes, and densities, and we also profit from the high durability as they are pigmented from the pulp, property that is a must for the implementation of certain techniques.
